Type of Support Offered by ECT
ECT is willing to award unrestricted grants to the charities it supports. ECT believes that this type of funding gives effective charities the flexibility necessary to achieve their goals.
In addition to providing financial support, ECT can also provide other types of assistance to help strengthen and sustain the work of the charities it funds. This could include consultancy support, as illustrated in the case study on the United Estates of Wythenshawe. Moreover, ECT undertakes a workshop every year for charities funded to facilitate the exchange of lessons learned. In 2005, the workshop focused on how charities track and articulate the results of their work. This workshop was facilitated by the New Economic Foundation.
