What is the Execution Charitable Trust?

The Execution Charitable Trust (ECT) was formed in 2003 by Execution Ltd, an institutional stockbroking firm, as a philanthropic programme to tackle poverty and disadvantage in the UK. ECT donates funding to local community organisations throughout the UK.

Where does ECT's funding come from?

Funding for ECT is generated through Execution Ltd's annual charity trading days.

What are ECT's funding priorities?

ECT aims to be an entrepreneurial and progressive funder of effective charities that tackle the causes and symptoms of poverty and disadvantage. ECT focuses its support on multi-purpose community organisations that work in deprived neighbourhoods. Read more about our funding priorities.

What are your award criteria?

To tackle poverty and disadvantage, ECT has chosen to support multi-purpose organisations that fulfill a variety of criteria within their communities.

Which charities do you support and what types of support do you offer?

How can my charity apply for funding?

ECT pro-actively identifies charities to support with the advice of our advisors, New Philanthropy Capital (NPC). ECT has chosen not to accept unsolicited proposals. However, if you wish to alert NPC to the work of your charity, please complete this online form to submit basic information.

Who makes the awards and when?

Drawing on NPC's advice, the trustees of ECT make the final funding decisions. Funding is allocated to charities throughout the year.
