The Broomhouse Centre is a multi-purpose community centre, based in the Broomhouse estate in north Edinburgh. The centre provides a range of activities for all ages, focusing on three core areas— young people’s services, older people’s services and a community café. It works with particularly disadvantaged members of the local community, for example young carers or older people suffering from dementia. These projects work directly with 200 people a year (although this number does not take into account the many users who access the centre’s service indirectly, for example through volunteering, or eating at the café).
